Again, use appropriate naming conventions (date, project name, your name, etc.)įinally within your project folder, make a folder for your footage. Within your class folder, you will create a folder for each project that you work on for that class. (If you name things in obscure ways even you won’t be able to find anything in a few years.)

These should at least include the academic term, year, and the name of the class. Use naming conventions that would make sense to anyone. You should create a folder for each class you will be producing media in. Unless you have hundreds of gigabytes of free space on the internal hard drive of your computer, it’s a good idea to work with an external hard drive.
